The GMC was a 6x6drive transport vehicle used by the U.S. military , with a payload of2.5tons, and was widely used in World War II and the Korean War. Based on chassis length, it was mainly divided into the long-bodiedLWB 353model and the short-bodiedSWB352model. The initial version of the GMC transport vehicle had an enclosed cab and steel cargo bags, but during World War II, in order to save materials, it was changed to an open cab and wooden cargo bags. However, this quickly proved unreliable, and ultimately the GMC was standardized with an enclosed cab and all-steel cargo bags.
