The American KC-135 was initially tasked with refueling strategic bombers, but it was used extensively in the Vietnam War and later conflicts such as Operation Desert Storm to extend the range and endurance of US tactical fighters and bombers.
The Boeing KC-135R Stratotanker is one of many military adaptations of the legendary Boeing 707 jetliner. Introduced in 1957, the KC-135 has been regularly upgraded throughout its service life. The KC_135 has seen over sixty years of continuous service with the USAF and has been used by numerous other countries around the world. This 1/144 scale kit from Academy provides two marking options. The finished model is 32.5 cm long.
